From the height of the light-house, the Faro del Albir, you have a wide panoramic view reaching beyond the bay of Altea. The mild climate and magnificent surroundings has encouraged many to settle here.

ALTEA, which is located at the top of a hill, protected by the mountain inland, offers all the charm that belongs to those towns anchored in tradition. Altea still maintains the personality of a village, quiet and peaceful, with a fisherman's tradition, and an old town, which offers beautiful views and an open invitation to explore. The beaches and pueblos have an unquestionable attractiveness to visitors, who enjoy a great number of cultural and festive events. Altea is equipped with excellent sport facilities; the sea is an exceptional scenario for practicing water sports. There are two marinas where you can take lessons in rowing, surfing and scuba diving. Golf is another of the various sports that can be practiced at the Don Cayo Golf Club. The club is equipped with a superb social club, swimming pool and tennis courts.
